Homemade Sliced Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 cups Hijo Superfoods Banana Flour
  • 5 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 2/3 cups water
  • 1 cup fresh milk
  • 1 1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/8 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 9 tsp yeast
  • 1 whole egg


Procedure:

1. Preheat oven to 165 °C.

2. In a mixing bowl, combine the banana flour, all-purpose flour, and salt. Set aside.

3. In a separate bowl, mix water, fresh milk, vanilla extract, sugar, yeast, and eggs.

4. Combine wet and dry ingredients until your dough starts to form.

5. Add the unsalted butter and vegetable oil into the dough and knead until dough is smooth.

6. Weigh dough to 600 grams or desired weight 4 depending on the size of your molder.

7. Place in a greased baking pan and proof for 2 hours or until it doubles in size.

8. Bake for 28 minutes at 165°C.

9. Let the loaf cool completely, then slice and serve.
